  • Descrição: A talented young actor, Stephanos Razis (Alekos Alexandrakis), who has performed brilliantly in the roles of Romeo and Hamlet, shares his dreams of a great career in theater with Katerina, the humble and innocent daughter of his landlord. Stephanos joins Bournokos’ third-class traveling troupe, where an established director discovers him. His official debut on a major stage in Athens is a real triumph, marking the rise of a new star – and the fall of an old one. Stephanos becomes intoxicated by glory and the bright lights, abandons Katerina and follows a rich lady. But soon he falls seriously ill, loses his fame and fortune, and everyone abandons him, except for his old love and the actor he had overshadowed.
